What to expect at your appointment
Your first acupuncture visit is intentionally the longest, typically 60-75 minutes with follow-ups averaging 45-60 minutes, so there is time to explore your health, lifestyle, concerns and goals.

01
Listen.
We begin with an in-depth conversation about your symptoms, health history, diet, lifestyle, and daily patterns. These details create a fuller picture of what may be contributing to how you feel.

Then we listen to your body. Depending on your needs, I may examine your tongue and pulse or assess posture, alignment, muscle tension, swelling and areas of discomfort.
02
Connect.
Eastern medicine treats the individual, not simply the western diagnosis. Two people may arrive with the same concern, such as headaches, yet have very different underlying causes.

By bringing together what you share and what your body reveals, I identify your unique pattern of imbalance and shape care around you.
The same symptom does not always have the same root.

03
Restore.
Your treatment points are carefully selected to address the symptoms you feel, the "branches" while also supporting the underlying patterns, or "root" that may be contributing to them.

Your personalized plan may also include practical recommendations for movement, lifestyle, diet or daily habits that can support your recovery between visits.
